Risk Assessments

Since the introduction of the generic risk assessments the police have requested that they are more widely used, not only just for one off promotions or discount pricing but also for any large events held in the town.

Town Watch voted in the risk assessment proposal in April 2010 as an additional measure to manage promotional activity and the recent meeting in November has raised questions on the number of assessments going through and more discussion on how broad the assessments should be.

There is no question that the value and strength of this scheme will only be seen if it is actively used by all members on a regular basis and the inference is that further encouragement will be given by both the police and the licensing team (now that it is back to a reasonable operating level).
